For factory or commercial settings where the employees will be standing for long periods of time, this anti-fatigue flooring prevents the employees from suffering from sore knees, hips, and ankles. This roll of industrial matting consists of a non-porous PVC (polyvinyl chloride) material that will resist absorbing liquids. It works well in industrial and commercial settings, as well as in marine environments.

The open grid construction in the flooring allows water to go through the holes to reach the subfloor. It then can go to the floor drain.

With the 3/8-inch thickness of the material, those standing on it will receive just enough elevation to avoid having to stand in any pools of water that drain through the grid design.

Maintenance and Care

Because this industrial matting works especially well for marine environments, it doesn’t require extensive cleaning procedures. Maintenance efforts only require a little bit of time to keep the floor operating like new and to maximize its safety ratings.

Start the cleaning process by removing any dry debris from the surface of the flooring. Use a push broom or a vacuum cleaner to collect loose particles, especially near the entrance door, where dirt and soils may accumulate.

For stubborn soils, use a stiff brush to scrape the materials loose. Customers can spray a neutral cleaning fluid over the top of the soils to soften them before scraping them loose. The manufacturer recommends using a liquid cleaner, rather than a powdered cleaner, to avoid leaving a film behind.

This type of industrial mat can stand up to some machine cleaning processes, which may work better over a large space. A cylindrical brush machine or a steam cleaner should deliver the desired results.
