Audience members will not be able to see which areas contain tape. Add tape to the seams between the strips as well.

The manufacturer did not design this floor to require adhesive, which ensures its portability. By using a dry lay installation, customers can roll up the flooring after the performance and carry it to the next show.

After the performance, remove the vinyl tape and begin rolling up the strips. Some customers prefer having rolls of lightweight strips after cutting the floor, rather than having an entire roll of floor, when it is time to move the floor from one venue to another.

Maintenance and Care

As the customer carries the vinyl sheet among different locations, it may pick up soils and dust. Customers will want to make sure to clean the floor between events to ensure the material is ready for the next performance.

Like PVC material, customers should clean this vinyl material with a dry mop or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and dry debris. Leaving dry debris on the vinyl could cause damage over time, as foot traffic will grind the debris into the thin vinyl.

When the floor is showing smudges, soils, or stains that detract from the metallic silver design, customers can wet mop the floor. Use warm water alone or make use of a neutral pH cleaner diluted with warm water to clean the vinyl safely.

Before allowing people to use it again or before rolling it up to place it into storage, allow it to fully air dry.

Proper care and maintenance will give this dry lay floor the longest possible lifespan, which should easily exceed the manufacturer’s limited 1-year warranty.
