An advantage of these faux wood foam tiles is the soft feel they deliver. Actual hardwood features an unforgiving surface – as does the concrete floor most common in trade show facilities. However this exhibition flooring will deliver a comfortable feel every time.

Interlocking Foam Tiles

The interlocking Wood Grain Reversible Interlocking Foam Tiles Trade Show 10×20 Ft. Kit fits nicely in a convention center display space.

If desired, create multiple gathering areas or patterns in one space, mixing woods and the tan or alternating the direction of the wood grain with each tile. The tan core helps hide any scuffs or scrapes that can occur in high traffic areas. You can even use the tan side to mark spaces you’d like your prospective clients you use for specific tasks are mark other areas of your display for easy setup.

These have a 0.5 inch thickness (13 mm). This allows them to provide enough cushioning to transform a hard, flat surface into a cushioned and comfortable workspace.

Each has a Shore C 35 material density rating. This showcases the tremendous level of comfort that these provide. With that level of cushion also comes susceptibility to puncturing of the EVA foam material, however. So if you’re concerned about surface blemishes, it’s best to avoid using high heel shoes on top of this flooring and furniture coasters are a great idea for use under furniture with pointy feet.

The faux wooden portion of this product features a smooth surface, while the tan flip side has thatch texture. The thatch is durable enough for almost all shoe types.

Our customers love these, because installation is so easy in a trade show booth. These pop together with very little effort. And they disassemble even faster at the conclusion of the show.

Line up the tabs on one edge of the interlocking wood floor tiles with the slots on the adjacent piece. Then press them together – just like a jigsaw puzzle. In addition to being a great value, the soft wood look tiles require no adhesive or tape. This allows the creation of a temporary solution.

Additionally, we do include border strip – two per tile in the order. This provides plenty of border pieces to finish any installation – even if your booth isn’t square.

The border fits into the puzzled edging with the same connection system. For an island, the extra pieces for the borders allow creation of a smooth, professional design without having to cut them.

Start installing in a corner and go along two edges of the room first. Then use the edge strips. Allow them to acclimate to the location. They can expand with changes in heat and humidity – which only becomes a consideration of used for a more permanent wall-to-wall installation.

In which case, include a 1/4-inch expansion gap against walls. This compensates for the minor expansion that might occur with normal humidity and heat changes in rooms throughout the year. 

We do not recommend placing these outside, other than for limited purposes. These might curl and swell if exposed to direct sunlight in warm climates for extended periods of time. 

Easy to Install Mat Tiles

If looking to do a fast installation, the large size of this product is beneficial. This measures 2 by 2 feet, which will make things go quickly, even when working over a large spot. They don’t weigh as much as they appear at only 1.2 pounds per tile. One person easily can carry several of them and perform the installation alone. However, it will go much faster if multiple people are working in sync. Understand that the final square footage coverage area will be slightly less than expected as there will be some interlock loss due to the puzzle style connection system.

Both sides of these interlocking wood floor tiles are easy to clean and will stand up to common foot traffic. Either avoid placing these in entryways where high heels may be worn or limit what types of shoes are in use. Carpeted squares from Greatmats may be a better option in these areas.

To clean them, sweep or vacuum them to remove dry debris. Have the vacuum cleaner placed at the highest setting or just use the vacuum’s hose and nozzle attachment. Do not use a vacuum’s power head on these. To alleviate concerns about the power of a vacuum, test it in an area that will not be noticeable if damage occurs. Use a damp mop on this material for a more thorough cleaning. Common household floors cleaners will work, but avoid cleaners that contain bleach. We also recommend avoiding steam cleaning, as this process might heat them up and cause them to expand. 

We offer the interlocking wood floor tiles in a variety of different colors of printed wood looks, from light to deep brown to gray. The Greatmats wood grain foam tiles appear as if they consist of thin planks. Keep in mind that color options and shade may vary somewhat within the same order. This is common with closed cell EVA material and does not represent a manufacturing defect. These will fit tightly, regardless of which side is facing upward.

Maintenance

Product can be damp mopped with common household floor cleaners, avoid bleach. Test your vacuum before use.
