Woodflex Padded Vinyl Flooring Roll, Multiple Colors

Creating a padded type of floor for a gymnasium or a sports facility is extremely easy with the Woodflex Padded Vinyl Flooring Roll. This flooring has a high-performance vinyl wear layer attached to a PVC foam layer, yielding the perfect mixture of durability and cushioning.

This flooring style works nicely for a variety of use cases, but it has an especially good level of performance in gyms. The cushioning gives athletes the support they need to make quick movements on the vinyl, while the foam layer protects their lower body joints from stress related to workouts.

Realistic Wood Grain Design

This Woodflex floor does not require the same maintenance and cleaning work found with an actual hardwood floor. Unlike a real hardwood basketball floor, our vinyl material doesn’t need sanding or refinishing on a regular basis.

Should gym owners want to paint court lines on the flooring, the manufacturer recommends using a urethane-based paint to deliver the best-looking lines that will stand up to regular game play. This flooring will work equally well for either practice sessions or games.

The Gameflex floor uses a similar vinyl material in the upper wear layer as the Woodflex flooring, so it has the same maintenance and cleaning benefits.

Gameflex simply uses a variety of solid colors in the vinyl layer, rather than using a wood grain pattern. The solid color rolls have a slight texture in the vinyl layer that’s similar to an orange peel.

Both types of floors have the same foam in the lower attached layer, yielding similar benefits for the ankles and knees of the athletes.

It uses a fiberglass reinforcement layer between the vinyl and foam layers that provides stability and firmness.

Installation is a relatively easy process that rarely requires the use of a professional. Start by sweeping the subfloor to remove any debris and dust that could cause the adhesive to fail. Fill in any major imperfections in the subfloor.

Unroll the flooring and dry lay it in the room at least 24 hours ahead of time. This allows it to acclimate to the temperature and humidity levels, while also relaxing the curl in the roll.

Apply the adhesive to the subflooring. Lay the floor over the adhesive within 20 minutes of spreading the adhesive. Use a 100-pound floor roller to finish the adhesion process.

Maintenance and Care

When caring for the Woodflex flooring or the solid color Gameflex flooring, the manufacturer recommends using protective mats outside the playing surface. These mats can help with catching soils and moisture before they reach the basketball or volleyball court.

For daily cleaning to remove dirt and grit from the installation, use a vacuum, broom, or dust mop. Some facilities will want to remove the dust between games. This flooring is highly durable, carrying a 15-year limited manufacturer warranty.

For a more thorough cleaning, the manufacturer recommends a microfiber mop with a neutral pH cleaning solution. Allow the athletic floor to air dry naturally for the best results.

Occasionally, if the mopping alone is not providing the level of cleaning desired, the manufacturer allows use of an auto-scrubbing machine or a floor scrubber that has a speed of less than 175 rpm. Rinse with a mop. If excess water ends up on the sports floor, the manufacturer recommends using a wet/dry vacuum.
